How far did the press travel from home?
Places of publication are plotted on a map of Britain, located from each record's own Latitude / Longitude columns where the file provides them (falling back to a built-in gazetteer of place names otherwise). Playback steps chronologically through the years, one tone per year — but now the volume of each tone falls away with how far that year's records sat, on average, from a reference point you choose. Pitch still follows the number of items or pages, as on the timeline.
Reference point — distances are measured from here. Defaults to Oxford.
